Waterproof Eyeliner Fail (no water required)

I like waterproof eyeliners best.
Why? Because, typically, those are the only ones that even stand a chance at staying put on my lid, much less my waterline (the inner rim of your eye).
I won't even waste my time with non-waterproof versions.

Well, I got a waterproof eyeliner in my
Glossybox not too long ago, so I excitedly tried it out.

The details: Elite Paris Intensity Waterproof "Long Lasting Eye Pencil", Made in France, in Mysterious Black 01.

I won't bore you with a bunch of words.
Let me just show you in pictures why this liner is "fail".

Notice that the waterline that I lined doesn't really look as if it ever were lined?
Honestly, so far I've not had luck with eyeliner pencils at all, though I haven't tried lots of waterproof ones. I've mostly used the waterproof marker types with success on the lids, but not on the waterline. I guess pencil liners don't like me.

Have you found a great liner for the waterline? Or an inexpensive pencil liner that really, truly stays put? Do share!

When I use a pencil liner (which I frequently have to as they ARE cheaper) I use a lighter to melt it some. This method is an oldie but works REALLY well. Especially on water lines. :)

Use a lighter on pencil eyeliner to get it liquidy. Works on eyelid &on waterline. Hold eyeliner close to the lighter but not on the flame. It makes even cheap brands glide on & stick as they "dry"
