My skin is starting to change now that I'm 43.
It's ALWAYS been oily, and to some degree, still is...just not as much as typical.
I'm getting more fine lines and age (sun) spots.
I've never worried much about hydration because of the oiliness I've always been cursed with. But now, I find myself wanting more hydration to stave off those lines and older looking skin.
Yet, I still don't want my skin to turn into an oil-slick come midday.
So I need a lightweight moisturizer that will improve my skin, but not cause my makeup to melt off during the day.

So, how does it do this?
I'm glad you asked!
It uses key ingredients from nature to...
- Botanical Hyaluronic Acid: Floods skin with moisture, supports skin elasticity, and plumps skin from within.
- Kojic Acid: Controls melanin production and prevents dark spots.
- Ginseng: Boosts skin firming collagen, fights wrinkles, and gives the skin a brighter and more energized look.
- Safflower Oil: Repairs skin's natural moisture barrier and provide superior skin protection.
- Shea Butter: Infuses skin with a myriad of vitamins and nutrients for superior skin hydration and nourishment.

Though this product uses lots of wonderful, natural ingredients, I did find one ingredient I'm not a fan of...Phenoxyetheanol, a preservative. For many of you this won't be an issue. But in the interest of honesty, and since the product touts that it is "made with natural ingredients", I wanted to disclose that phenoxyethanol is the 5th to the last ingredient, in an otherwise stellar list of natural ingredients.
My own personal experience with this cream shows me:
It does NOT cause my skin to get greasy AT ALL.
I tested it by wearing it all day long without makeup and checking for oiliness throughout the day...no problems.
AND I tested it under makeup in the same way, and still...no problems.
It glides on easily and will set and be ready for makeup in just a few minutes. I use just 2 pumps. This big 4 oz pump should last you a long time. You will see what 2 pumps looks like below.
So, will my face look greasy, even if it doesn't feel greasy? Will it look sparkly like a teen's makeup, since the description says it "illuminates" and "brightens" (like so many do when they say that)?
NO.
Look at my hand below, which is just after rubbing the 2 pumps in (granted, that's a lot, since you would usually spread that amount over your entire face).
There's no sparkles, no oiliness.
What you do see is just the faintest hint of light reflection.
It's a subtle, pretty "illuminator".
If you put makeup on over it, you won't notice it at all.
I find that my skin looks better, even though I've only been using it each morning for about 3 weeks. I haven't noticed any diminishment in the appearance of my sunspots, but I know that takes time. Pigment issues aren't repaired quickly. I'm am hoping for good results by the time this bottle is empty. It feels great and is doing a good job of giving my aging skin non-greasy hydration.
