Sugar Free Flavoring Syrups by DaVinci

Happy Thanksgiving!
Are you counting your blessings today? I hope so. If you're having trouble coming up with some of your blessings (I certainly hope not!), let me help you out just a tad...
My fellow low-carb, diabetic, and metabolically challenged readers, you may now rejoice (Hellllloooo: give THANKS)!
Why?

There are so many awesome SUGAR FREE flavored syrups for you to choose from these days. (Please assume Sugar Free when I mention syrups for the remainder of this post.)
Have you simply been picking between the standard "Vanilla, Caramel, Chocolate, and Raspberry" by Torani that is available at most Walmarts? Or the "French Vanilla and Kahlua" by DaVinci that Sam's Club typically carries? Heck, our Publix here in South Florida doesn't even carry ANY flavoring/coffee syrups. That's why I decided to finally go straight to the source and order from the manufacturer.
I checked out the flavor options from Torani, then headed to the DaVinci site and checked theirs. I was more pleased with DaVinci's offerings, plus they had a coupon code to save me $7.99, which took care of the shipping expense, plus a little more. So I went with DaVinci. I ordered on Sunday and received my package Thursday evening. Happy with the shipping time.
It was packed well so that none of my 6 glass bottles was broken. I ordered 2 pumps, too, and they were just fine.
Prices DO change, but here's how it was at my time of order (early November 2012):
Praline Sugar Free Syrup 750 mL $7.99 1
Pumpkin Pie Sugar Free Syrup 750 mL $7.99 1
Syrup Pump 700-750mL $2.50 2
Pineapple Sugar Free Syrup 750 mL $7.99 1
Peppermint Paddy Sugar Free Syrup 750 mL $7.99 1
Pancake Sugar Free Syrup 750 mL $7.99 1
  • Buy any 2 syrups, get an additional syrup from our featured flavors FREE.
Subtotal: $44.95
Discount: - $7.99
Shipping: $7.95
Total: $44.91

So, instead of a small bottle (12.2 FL OZ) from Walmart for $3.98, I get a BIG bottle (25.4 FL OZ) for $7.99...more choices, delivered basically for free, and I am very satisfied.
I'm not sure how long the coupon code I used is good for, but here it is:
NOV12TF
There are a few other coupon codes available on RetailMeNot.com for DaVinci, but I didn't use those, so I can't vouch for their efficacy. If you don't want to order a "featured flavor", though, you should be able to find a coupon code for free shipping. My "featured flavor" was Pumpkin Pie :)
Now, in case you don't know what to do with these fabulous syrups other than add to coffee, let me give you a few ideas:
OR...
Just mix any flavor you think would be good into some heavy whipping cream with a little liquid Sucrolose. I'm planning to try out the Pineapple I bought mixed in with whipping cream for a fluffy pineapple dessert. You can even freeze this mixture a little while and it'll be harder and more substantial.

As far as flavor goes, that is subjective. What I find awesome, you may think is gross. It is impossible for me to tell you what flavors you will like. Plus, you might not like one syrup used one way, but totally like it when used in another. For example, I didn't like "Salted Caramel" in my coffee at all. But I like it just fine in my flax meal muffins. So, use your imagination and pick whatever you think will suit you.
And let us know of any great low carb recipes you know of that use SUGAR FREE flavoring syrups, please.
