Dove Clinical Deodorant vs. Secret Clinical Deodorant

Here in the Deep South, things are already heating up.
And I sweat like a man.
Yes, yuck.
In the warm months, I switch over to "clinical strength" deodorants.
I compared Secret Clinical and Suave Clinical a while back. You can check that out HERE.
This time around, I wanted to see what the difference might be between Dove Clinical and Secret Clinical.

Inexpensive, Great Socks for Beginner to Moderate Runners

I'm fairly new to the world of running,
having begun my "Couch to 5K" training in May 2013.
great inexpensive socks for moderate athletes
I now run regularly, usually around 3.3 miles, 3 times a week. So I consider myself a "moderate runner". I've learned a few things, though I still have much to learn.

In the beginning, I didn't want to purchase expensive equipment till I knew I would stick with it.
Money is tight around this house,
so I need to make it really count, ya know?

Runner's Mace Review...or "How I protect myself from aggressive dogs & evil people"

One of the things I encountered early on in my habit of running several times a week?
Aggressive dogs.
I live rural, which I mostly love, but for some reason, many people who live rurally don't understand that even in the county there IS a Leash Law.
They also seem to not realize that dogs are naturally territorial and protective. Hence, when someone (kid, adult, whomever) is walking or running on the public roadway, that dog is going to go nuts.
Sometimes they try to chase, growl, bite and attack pedestrians.
The answer I got when I asked veteran runners what I should do? Get runner's mace.

Color Me Happy? My Experience With The Color Run

2 Days Ago I ran my first 5K.
I chose The Color Run
to be my goal race when I decided back in June
that I was going to celebrate my 40th birthday
by making my body obey me and run a 5K.

Why The Color Run?
To be honest, I saw the pictures of other Color Runs on Facebook and it looked absolutely fun as heck.

Why run a plain, boring 5K when you can come out of it looking like rainbows barfed all over you. Am I right?!?!
40 and Fabulous? I'll take that!

Spastic About Uncomfy Seams in Socks?

I belong to BzzAgent and recently was sent several pairs of socks to try out. I received Hanes Comfort Toe Seam Socks for ladies in several different varieties.

Now, I'm a little demanding of my socks...I like them to be thicker, with good cushion-factor. I want them to hold up well to a lot of washing. I prefer they not cost a small fortune, either.

My husband and my youngest son, however, are spastic about uncomfy socks. They have to fit just-so, can't stretch out too quickly, can't have bothersome seams, or "seam nipples" (I have no idea how else to describe those little pointy parts at the sides of the toe seams...sorry). I'm not real crazy for socks that have seam nipples, either, come to think of it.
