Money Saving Website

Usually I post reviews of PRODUCTS...but this week I'm posting a review of a website b/c it's really cool. At www.hip2save.com you'll find daily posts updating you on many great deals. This is a woman's blog, really, and she does a fab job helping folks like me find deep discounts and freebies. I'm really enjoying going to, say, Walgreens, and buying $30 worth of items for like $5. NO KIDDING!
Just go to her website and read, read, read. You'll learn all about how to work some great deals. It's too good to keep to myself! For example, it's reported that in honor of Cinco de Mayo, Walmart (and others) have their Mission tortillas on sale for .97. At her blog she gives you a link to Mission's website where they have $1 off coupons (max. of 2 printable)...so you could get FREE tortillas as long as your local WalMart is participating. Either way, you can save $2 total on tortillas, which is $2 back in YOUR pocket. Yay!

Glade Sense and Spray air freshener

I received a new product to try out through BzzAgent.com a few weeks ago (they give me stuff to try for free and I share coupons and my opinion about the item with friends & family, and also answer a survey about it). The item was the new Glade Sense & Spray automatic air freshener. I was psyched about it b/c I always worry that my home will smell like yicky diapers since we use cloth diapers. Anyway, this is a really neat product for two reasons: 1) It sprays only when someone passes by it (or enters the room) due to a change in the level of light/shade, so it doesn't just spray all the time, wasting the air freshner; and 2) it "locks" for 30 minutes after it does spray, so that it doesn't keep on spraying when not needed. You can, however, override the lock by pushing a button if you want more sprayed out. It helps you not waste your scent cartridge, which is great. It comes in several good scents and can be found at most local stores where you find air freshener products. THIS was a good idea. I recently bought 2 refills for mine while they had a rebate on them at Walgreens.
